In the last challenge I asked you to start to reflect on the moments where your confidence drains. By knowing what your Confidence Killers are, it’s easy to plan and prepare for these moments.
In this part of the Confidence Challenge, I want you to take that reflection deeper. I want you to look especially at your thoughts during these pivotal moments. The way that we talk to ourselves (our self-talk) can have a huge effect on your performances. Our self-talk not only affects the way we perceive a situation, but it also has an impact on our feelings and behaviors.
Your assignments:
- Using the Strong Inner Voice Worksheet, I want you to practice re-framing your negative thoughts into positive self-talk. Please share your re-framed thoughts using #StrongInnerVoice!
- Whether you are new to the idea of self-talk or not, I want everyone to read (or re-read) the previous Mental Muscle post on Positive Self-Talk as a part of this exercise.
